Dr. Marcia Bygrave, the Founder and Director of Heart of Caregiving Academy, LLC, brings over 25 years of nursing experience and more than a decade of healthcare training expertise to the Academy. Her career has spanned diverse areas of healthcare, including home health, long-term care facilities, and assisted living communities. Throughout her journey, Dr. Bygrave has remained committed to one guiding principle: providing compassionate, high-quality care while preparing the next generation of caregivers to do the same.
As a licensed nurse, educator, and advocate for the elderly and vulnerable populations, Dr. Bygrave has dedicated her career to empowering others through education. Her passion for teaching stems from her belief that effective communication, collaboration, and interactive learning are key to creating meaningful educational experiences. She emphasizes critical thinking, ownership of learning, and the transfer of classroom knowledge to real-world caregiving situations.
Dr. Bygrave is also a Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) and a Certified Community Health Worker Instructor.
