Founded by Dr. Marcia Bygrave, a nurse with over 25 years of healthcare experience and more than a decade of teaching and workforce development expertise, the Academy was established to meet the growing need for competent, welltrained caregivers within the senior care and home care industries.

Heart of Caregiving Academy, LLC is licensed by the Alabama Private School Licensure Division, ensuring that our programs meet the state’s rigorous standards for quality education and professional training.

Our mission is to empower caregivers with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to deliver exceptional care. Through engaging instruction, hands-on skills labs, and a compassionate approach to learning, we prepare students for real-world situations in home care, assisted living, and other healthcare settings.

Our signature programs—Home Care Aide Training and Caregiver Medication Safety Training—are designed to strengthen the caregiving workforce, enhance safety, and promote better outcomes for individuals receiving care.

We also take pride in building a Home Care Aide Hub that connects our graduates with partnering agencies seeking skilled, compassionate professionals. This ensures that our students are not only trained but positioned for meaningful employment and career advancement.
